Videocon’s Chairman Venugopal Dhoot was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation on Monday morning from Mumbai in the Videocon-ICICI Bank case. According to a report by CNBC-TV18, Dhoot offered CBI to turn an approver in the case, expecting some linency during the investigation. An approver is basically a person who confesses to committing a crime and gives evidence against his or her accomplices.
