Uttarakhand: PM Modi performs pooja and darshan at Pravti Kund, Pithoragarh

During darshan and worship, PM Narendra Modi appeared in a different form. He was wearing a cream-coloured overcoat like dress. This is the traditional dress of the hilly areas of Uttarakhand.

On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited “DevBhoomi”, Uttrakhand, where he performed Puja at Parvati Kund and sought blessings from the holy Adi-Kailash, a site known for its spiritual significance and natural beauty. He interacts with the local people and security forces also.

“I am overwhelmed with the darshan and worship at the holy Pravti Kund of Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand. The mind is also happy with the darshan of Adi Kailash from here. From this place of spirituality and culture nested in the lap, I wished a happy life for the family members of my country”, he wrote on social media X after offering Pooja at Holy Cave.

People of Bhotiya tribe prepared this dress for the pilgrims going to Char Dham. This is their main business.

Moreover, PM Modi also met defence personnel from Army, Border Roads Organisation (BRO) and Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) in Parvati Kund and Gunji. In an X post, he wrote, “At Parvati Kund and Gunji, interacted with the dedicated personnel of the Army, BRO and ITBP. Their unwavering service in challenging conditions is truly commendable. Their spirit and dedication inspires the entire nation.”

The program is followed by a government function where he launched multiple projects worth ₹4,200 cr.

The projects which he inaugurated will include 76 rural roads and 25 bridges under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY). The government will also unveil 15 new buildings for Block Development Offices (BDO) in nine districts, strengthening the administrative setup.
