During official meetings, Shah is scheduled to review the party’s poll readiness and discuss strategy with leaders and booth level workers.

Karnataka is slated to hold assembly elections in April-May 2023, and Bommai met with Shah and BJP national president J P Nadda on Monday to discuss poll preparations, cabinet formation, and reservation problems.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is expected to arrive in Bengaluru late on December 29 and will address a public meeting in Mandya on December 30, according to party sources.

Mandya is a Vokkaliga-dominated district that is widely regarded as a JD(S) and Congress stronghold, but where the BJP is making inroads.

Later, Shah will return to Bengaluru to attend a Cooperative convention at the Palace Grounds. He is thereafter slated to attend a BJP meeting.

On December 31, the Home Minister will hold a breakfast meeting with party leaders before visiting Souharda Sahakari Federation. Following that, he is scheduled to attend the BJP’s booth presidents and booth level agents conference at the Palace Ground before departing for Delhi.
