
Shantanu Muluk, the co-accused in toolkit case in connection with the farmers protest has filed an anticipatory bail application in a Delhi Court. On Wednesday, Additional Sessions Judge, Dharmender Rana was hearing the bail application.
Earlier, Shantanu was granted 10 days transit anticipatory bail by the Bombay High Court and has joined the investigation in Delhi. The Delhi Court was also informed that the interim protection granted by the Bombay High Court to Shantanu is available till 26th February.
The Court also seek a response from Delhi Police on anticipatory bail. However, the Court was adjourned the matter for tomorrow. The Judge said, “Keep it for replies and arguments for tomorrow”.
Shantanu Muluk is an engineer by profession.
On Monday, Lawyer Nikita Jacob and engineer Shantanu Muluk joined the probe in connection with the toolkit case and are being questioned at the Delhi Police’s cyber cell office in Dwarka, a senior police officer said.
“Both Jacob and Muluk were served notice to join the probe and are currently being quizzed in connection with their alleged role in the toolkit case,” the officer said.
