A tiger’s carcass was found floating on Saturday in the Pench River – which traverses the National Park that has the same name and straddles the Seoni-Chhindwara district border – and poaching is suspected as injury marks were observed and a paw was severed, Forest Department sources said.
An inquiry is underway after the discovery was made in the vicinity of Kona Pindrai village and officials rushed to the scene.
