Three terrorists were reportedly neutralized in an encounter with security forces in the Nader Tral area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday morning. The joint operation was carried out by the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and the CRPF.

However, officials are yet to formally confirm the identities of the slain terrorists.

Earlier in the day, the encounter broke out during a cordon and search operation launched by security forces based on specific intelligence inputs about terrorist presence in the Awantipora region. “Encounter has started at Nader, Tral area of Awantipora. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow,” the Kashmir Police had posted on X.

The area remains under strict vigil as combing operations continue.
