A Tejas fighter aircraft participating in a demonstration at the Dubai Air Show 2025 crashed on Friday afternoon, according to reports from news agency AP. The incident occurred around 2:10 pm local time when the HAL-manufactured jet went down while performing an aerial display in front of a large crowd.

Images circulating from the venue at Al Maktoum International Airport showed a plume of smoke rising from the far side of the airfield on the concluding day of the airshow. Early reports indicate that the aircraft involved is believed to be an Indian HAL Tejas fighter jet, with unconfirmed chatter suggesting that the pilot may not have ejected.

While initial information remains limited, Turkish defence publication SavunmaSanayiST reported that the same aircraft had allegedly experienced a fuel leak during its display the previous day.

Authorities at the airshow have not yet issued an official statement. Further updates are awaited as emergency teams assess the situation.
