The aircraft carrying former Congress President Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday, 18th July has made an emergency landing in Madhya Pradesh’s Bhopal, according to the recent reports by ANI.

The Bhopal police cited the flight’s emergency landing to be due to bad or unfavorable weather. The mother and son duo were heading towards Delhi from Bengaluru after attending the crucial meeting in Bengaluru. The opposition parties had gathered to make an alliance against the Modi – BJP led government in accordance with the 2024 Elections. The former Congress president, during a press conference, said they have decided to prepare an action plan where they will talk about their ideology and programmes. “The fight is against the ideology of the BJP and their thinking, they are attacking the country, unemployment is rampant, and the country’s wealth is being taken away from millions and handed over to a few of the friends of the BJP and the Prime Minister,” Mr Gandhi said.

According to the fresh updates, Rahul and Sonia Gandhi will fly to Delhi on Wednesday at 9:30 am on IndiGo’s flight. According to the Airport Authority, the pilot of the flight had asked for permission to make an emergency landing at the Bhopal airport.
