Panchjanya, an Indian weekly magazine published by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has expressed Infosys in its latest edition over the glitches surrounding the Goods and Service Tax (GST) and Income Tax portals. On the Bengaluru-based IT services company, Panchjanya has carried a four-page cover story with Narayana Murthy’s founder Infosys picture on it and text which reads ‘Saakh Aur Aghaat‘ meaning ‘Reputation and Damage.’
The article has attacked the Bengaluru-based company and dubbed it as ”Unchi Dukan, Phika Pakwaan” (great cry and little wool).
Congress leader Jairam Ramesh calling the article “anti-national”, in a tweet said it is an attempt to shift the blame from the government and deserves to be condemned.
The article questioned, “Due to glitches in both GST and Income Tax return portals developed by Infosys, the taxpayer’s trust in the country’s economy has taken a hit. Is it that any anti-national force via Infosys is trying to hurt India’s economic interests.”
While the weekly Panchjanya mentioned that it doesn’t have any real evidence to put the serious allegation, the company Infosys has been accused of multiple times for helping the “Naxalites, leftists and tukde-tukde gangs”.
“The scurrilous attack on Infosys in an RSS publication is outrageous and anti-national. Companies like Infosys have transformed India and its standing in the world,” Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh on Twitter.
The scurrilous attack on Infosys in a RSS publication is outrageous and actually anti-national. Companies like Infosys have transformed India and its standing in the world. The article is an attempt to shift the blame from the Govt and deserves to be wholeheartedly condemned!
