The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced a change in the public holiday schedule for its Mumbai offices. According to a recent circular, the RBI will observe a public holiday on September 18, 2024, instead of September 16, 2024.
The Government of Maharashtra has declared September 18, 2024, as a public holiday in observance of Eid-e-Milad, as stated in Notification No. PHD-1124/C.R.106/Japuk (29) dated September 13, 2024. This change affects the Mumbai City and Mumbai Suburban districts.
As a result, the public holiday previously set for September 16, 2024, has been canceled. Consequently, RBI offices in these districts will be closed on September 18, 2024.
