Congress leader Rahul Gandhi took to social media on Wednesday morning to salute the bravery of the Indian Armed Forces in the wake of Operation Sindoor—India’s precision airstrikes on terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Posting on X (formerly Twitter) at 8:16 AM, Gandhi wrote:
“Proud of our Armed Forces. Jai Hind!”

His post came hours after the Indian military launched coordinated strikes on nine key terrorist infrastructure sites linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen. The operation was conducted in response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that killed 25 Indian and foreign tourists and a local pony ride operator.

The strikes have triggered heightened alert along the Indo-Pak border, grounding flights across North India and prompting global attention amid rising tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbours.

Rahul Gandhi’s statement joins a chorus of political voices across party lines praising the armed forces for their swift and decisive response.
