Prime Minister Modi will launch Aero India 2023, Asia’s largest air show today in Bengaluru

Aero India, India’s biennial aerospace display, will be opened by PM Modi. The event will highlight India as a new manufacturing powerhouse for helicopters and military aircraft.

Approximately 250 business-to-business agreements are anticipated to be finalised at Aero India, according to the officials, which is anticipated to unlock investment worth approximately Rs 75,000 crore. They said that by showcasing the expansion of the nation’s aerospace and defence capabilities, the 14th edition of Aero India, with the theme “The runway to a billion prospects,” will reflect the emergence of a powerful and independent “New India.”

In keeping with the government’s objective of “Make in India, Make for the World,” the emphasis will be on showcasing homegrown tools and technology and forming alliances with global businesses.

Airbus, Boeing, Dassault Aviation, Lockheed Martin, Israel Aerospace Industry, BrahMos Aerospace, Army Aviation, HC Robotics, SAAB, Safran, Rolls Royce, Larsen & Toubro, Bharat Forge Limited, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), and BEML Limited are among the major exhibitors at the Aero India, according to PTI.

The defence ministry estimated that five lakh attendees would physically attend the event. Leading design, the expansion of the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) market, defence space, and cutting-edge technologies will all be topics covered in Aero India 2023.

According to PTI, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh stated at a news conference that Aero India 2023 will showcase the nation’s manufacturing capability and the advancements made towards achieving the Prime Minister Modi’s goal of a “Aatmanirbhar Bharat” (self-sufficient India).

According to him, the occasion will have a big impact on the growth of the aerospace and aviation industry. According to Singh, Aero India will serve as a catalyst for the aerospace industry’s further expansion in India and will help the nation achieve its goal of becoming self-sufficient in the production of weapons systems.

“I have faith that Bengaluru will become a major aerospace centre on the international stage. Our goal is to establish a thriving defence manufacturing industry, “He remarked, according to a PTI report.

Aero India is scheduled to draw the defence ministers of 32 nations, the air chiefs of 29 countries, and 73 CEOs of international and Indian defence firms.According to authorities, as reported by PTI, the defence minister described the growing foreign participation as a reflection of both India’s buyer-seller relationships with several nations and their shared aim of world prosperity.
