The President was speaking at the closing ceremony of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi’s diamond jubilee celebrations.
On September 3, 2022, President Droupadi Murmu emphasised the importance of preparing educational institutions for the future and stated that India has a large talent pool that has yet to be fully utilised.

Murmu described IITs as the country’s pride, saying, “Their story is the story of independent India.”
President Droupadi Murmu attended the event as the chief guest. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan graced the closing ceremony of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of IIT Delhi as the Guest of Honour.
