After a long wait, the election results of Rajasthan Youth Congress have been released. Congress MLA from Sangaria Abhimanyu Poonia has been elected State President of Youth Congress, while Sudheendra Mund and Yashveer Singh Sura have been elected Working Presidents.
National President of Youth Congress BV Srinivas announced the election results and congratulated the newly elected state president. The election process for all the posts including that of State President of Youth Congress started in December last year, which continued for three months. Counting of votes took place in May 2023, in which Abhimanyu Poonia got the maximum votes. Later the interview process took place and now the final election result has been released.
On being announced as new Rajasthan PYC president, Poonia wrote on X, “On declaring me as the official state president (elected) of Rajasthan Youth Congress, heartfelt thanks to National President Shri Mallikarjun Kharge ji, Shri Rahul Gandhi ji, Shri KC Venugopal ji, Shri Sachin Pilot ji, Shri Krishna Allavaru ji, and Mr. Srinivas B.V. I have full confidence that with the support and blessings of all of you, we will take Rajasthan Youth Congress to new heights.”

Won election from Sangria
Abhimanyu Poonia contested the election from Sangaria assembly seat of Hanumangarh district and won the election by more than 40 thousand votes. After that it was believed that now the result of Youth Congress would be declared. Whereas Yashveer Shura was seeking a ticket from Malpura, but he did not get it and Sudheendra was not in the fray from Mund. Now after this new announcement, a new executive of Youth Congress can be declared here soon.
Abhimanyu got more than 2 lakh votes
The total voting in the elections for Youth Congress was more than 20 lakh. During counting only 7 lakh 70 thousand votes were counted. A total of 12 lakh 30 thousand votes were rejected. In the election, Abhimanyu Poonia got 230079 votes, Sudheendra Mund 197385, Yashveer Shura got 159640 votes.
