On Sunday, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi addressed an election rally in Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh. During this, he mentioned development works of CM Bhupesh Baghel government of Chhattisgarh. Rahul Gandhi said that five years ago we had promised the people of Chhattisgarh, and we have fulfilled those promises.

“5 years ago we had promised the people of Chhattisgarh — Farmers’ loans will be waived off, Rs 2,500 per quintal will be available for paddy, and government will protect farmers and labourers, Whatever promises Congress had made to you, it has been fulfilled,” said Rahul Gandhi.
“This morning we interacted with the farmers of Chhattisgarh. They all told us – No other government has done what the Congress government has done for the farmers in the last 5 years. Rs 2,500 per quintal for paddy, loan waiver of farmers, electricity bill half, and Rs 7,000 to labourers every year. But now we have decided that we will give Rs 10,000 to the labourers every year,” promised Rahul Gandhi.
Rahul Gandhi also attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Adani issue and said: “There are two types of government. One works for the poor, farmers, labourers and unemployed, while the second works for rich industrialists like Adani. Modi government has waived off the loans of people like Adani worth Rs 14 lakh crore, but has not waived off the loans of farmers.”
“Modi government works for Adani and Congress works for the people,” added Rahul Gandhi.
Further, Rahul Gandhi attacked BJP by saying: “BJP leaders want your children to work as labourers and their children to work abroad. But Congress wants the children of Chhattisgarh to dream bigger and fulfil those dreams. This is our thinking.”
Polling In Chhattisgarh is scheduled to held on 7 and 17 November (in two phases) for 90-member state assembly.
