A bench comprising Justices Sanjiv Khanna, Dipankar Datta, and P B Varale told Additional Solicitor General S V Raju, appearing for the ED, to take instructions and apprise the court in the post-lunch session on whether further custody of Singh was required. The bench remarked that he has spent six months in jail.

The Supreme Court was hearing Singh’s plea challenging his arrest and remand in the money laundering case. ED did not oppose the bail.

Sanjay Singh, the AAP leader, was finally granted bail in the liquor policy case. He was arrested in the case by the ED on October 4 last year.
