India suffered a great loss on Thursday evening as former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh passed away at the age of 91.
The tributes for the world’s one of the most reowned economist has been pouring in from all over the globe. Now, Congress leader Sachin Pilot took to his social media handle to mourn the passing away of Dr. Manmohan Singh.
“I am shocked by the news of the demise of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh ji. His foresight, efficiency and economic policies gave a new direction to the country’s progress, made a unique contribution to economic empowerment and established India as an economic power on the world stage,” he wrote in Hindi.
He also mentioned that he got the opportunity to strengthen the policies of the Congress government under his leadership.
