BJP has not been able to select Rajasthan CM yet. Showing a mirror to BJP on this delay, veteran Congress leader and outgoing Chief Minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot said, “Their (BJP) is getting exposed. For 7 days you are not able to decide the face of the Chief Minister and talk that there is discipline in our party. If this had happened in the Congress party, then by now these people would have created a hue and cry. Describing the selection of the Leader of the Opposition as the right of the High Command, he said, “High Command will declare the Leader of the Opposition.”
The BJP high command has been brainstorming for several days regarding the selection of the Chief Minister of Rajasthan. However, till now, there has been no talk from the party about making any person the face of the Chief Minister.
Many big names are involved in the race for the head of the state, including two-time Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, recently elected Parliament MLA Diya Kumari, Baba Balak Nath, Kirori Lal Meena and Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
This time, the party had contested the elections on the face of Prime Minister Modi, adopting the strategy of not declaring any person as the chief ministerial candidate. In which he got success and the party returned to Rajasthan by winning 115 seats.
BJP high command has appointed three observers for the selection of the Chief Minister and the Legislative Party meeting in the state. The party has handed over the responsibility of the Legislative Party meeting to Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Rajya Sabha MP Saroj Pandey and National General Secretary Vinod Tawde.
There is speculation that the suspension will be lifted from the Chief Minister’s face in the state by Monday or Tuesday evening. This time the party leadership is trying to create a generational shift in the state by giving a chance to someone else in place of Vasundhara Raje so that a new leadership can be prepared for the future.
