On Saturday, the ruling party of Rajasthan, Congress, released its much awaited first list of 33 candidates for the upcoming Rajasthan assembly elections 2023. The list includes big names like Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, State Congress President Govind Singh Dotasara and former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot.

The Congress party has fielded Sachin Pilot again from Tonk constituency, while Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot to contest from his mother constituency Sardarpura, Jodhpur. While the Congress’ State President Govind Singh Dotasara has been given ticket from Lacchmangarh and Divya Maderna to again contest from Osian seat.

Mukesh Bhakar, who belongs to Sachin Pilot lobby in Rajasthan, has also given party’s ticket to contest from Ladnun, which he even represents today. Ramniwas Gawaria, another close aid of Sachin Pilot to contest from his current constituency Parbatsar.

Cabinet Minister Ashok Chandna will also be contesting from Hindoli constituency.

With this list, the Congress party has officially declared candidates on 33 constituencies in the 200-member assembly. The voting for all 200 seats will be conducted in a single phase on November 25, while the counting of votes and declaration of results will take place on December 3, 2023.
