Sachin Pilot, former Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan and son of Rajesh Pilot, termed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s comments regarding his father as factually incorrect and said on Wednesday night that the Prime Minister’s statement is beyond the facts and such. ‘Such statements are made to divert public attention,” said Pilot.
Speaking to news agency PTI, Pilot said: “I heard the statement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji, which is far from the facts. The reality is that late Pilot Saheb was inspired by Indira Gandhi to join Congress for public service. He served the public for a long time and fought against communal forces throughout his life. As far as I am concerned, I think PM Modi should not worry about my present and future. My party and the public will take care of this.”
“We have a very old relationship with Sonia Gandhi ji, Rahul ji and Priyanka ji. This relationship is of the heart. There is no need to give any statement to anyone else in this. We all are working together to strengthen the party. The truth is that BJP has no roadmap for the country, no plans. Therefore, PM Modi is making such factless statements to divert public attention from important issues,” added Pilot.

Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot also came ahead to support his party leader Sachin Pilot and lashed out at PM Modi. Gehlot said that PM Modi is trying to instigate the Gurjar community before the polling day.
“PM Modi is so upset with his defeat that he has made Late Shri Rajesh Pilot an election issue. They are trying to instigate the Gurjar community. During the BJP rule itself, 22 incidents of firing took place, in which many people of Gurjar community were killed,” said CM Gehlot.
“The BJP government went out and when I became the Chief Minister, I explained to them with brotherhood and love and gave them reservation. With what mouth do they (BJP) talk about Gurjar community today?,” added CM Gehlot.
