On Monday, a 9-second video clip of former Congress president Rahul Gandhi got flooded on social media platform X and on the internet in which he can be seen fumbling while addressing media persons. Several leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) including Union Minister shared that clip of Rahul Gandhi and trolled him for his words.
After the Election Commission of India (ECI) announced the schedule for elections in five states (Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Mizoram and Telangana), Congress leader Rahul Gandhi addressed a press conference at All India Congress Committee (AICC) Headquarters where he looked confident about his party’s victory in the state polls.
However, at an instance, he said by mistake: “Rajasthan mein bhi sarkaar jaa rahi hai, Chhattisgarh mein bhi sarkaar jaa rahi hai, Telangana mein jaa rahi hai… Sorry! Ulta bol diya.” The statement went viral as Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh are ruled by Congress party.
BJP leaders took no time to share the clip of Rahul Gandhi fumbling in the press conference. BJP’s National IT Cell Head Amit Malviya shared the video clip on social media platform X, and wrote: “He surely knows that the Congress is going to be routed in these Assembly elections…”

BJP’s National Spokesperson Sambit Patra also joined the tally to troll former Congress president by sharing his clip. Patra wrote: “Ulta nahi, sach bol diye. Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh mein Congress jaa rahi hai, BJP aa rahi hai. (Not the opposite, he told the truth. Congress is going in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, BJP is coming.)”
उल्टा नहीं, सच बोल दिये।
