Team India, on Sunday, suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of Australia in the final match of the World Cup. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also present in the stadium to watch this match. Now, making this an issue, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi compared PM Narendra Modi as ‘Panauti’ (unlucky).
While addressing a rally in poll bound state Rajasthan’s Baytu, Congress MP made this comparison of PM Modi.
“Our boys were playing well there, and they were about to win the World Cup, but the panauti (referring to PM Modi) made them lose. The TV people will not say this, but the public knows it all,” said Rahul Gandhi. The official handle of Congress party has even shared Rahul Gandhi’s video from his speech saying these words.

Regarding this statement of Rahul Gandhi, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has attacked him and is asking him to apologize for his statement. In this regard, BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad said: “The kind of words Rahul Gandhi is using for PM Modi is indecent. Rahul Gandhi will have to apologize to Modi ji. Otherwise, we will make it a big issue in the country.”
