On Thursday, addressing ‘BJP Hatao Desh Bachao’  Rally organized by a Communist Party of India in Patna, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar raised questions over the INDIA bloc which is formed to defeat BJP government in upcoming elections. Kumar said that “Congress is busy in preparing for the five states Assembly elections and is doing nothing for the Lok Sabha elections in 2024.”

Speaking in the rally, Kumar said: “We spoke with all the parties, urged them to unite and protect the country from those who are trying to alter its history. For this, meetings were held in Patna and elsewhere, and it was decided to form an INDIA alliance. Not much work is being done right now. Congress is more interested in the upcoming elections in five states.”

The statement made by Kumar raised eyebrows over the newly formed party. “We were all working together to take forward the Congress party, but they are not worried about all this right now. They are busy with the five-state election right now. So, after the five-state elections, they themselves will call everyone,” the Bihar CM added.

Nitish Kumar was the front most leader in the creation of INDIA bloc who made this coalition for defeating Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He met party leaders and president and persuaded them for the union. The first meeting of the INDIA bloc was held in Patna in June, followed by the last meet of the INDIA group on August 31-September 1 in Mumbai.

Earlier, Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav also raised question over the alliance after being cheated and disrespected by Congress Government in Assembly Elections 2023.
