
On Friday, March 26, Union Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs, Nirmala Sitharaman released the manifesto for up-coming legislative assembly polls in Puducherry. Union Ministers Giriraj Singh and Arjun Ram Meghwal were also present at the event.
While addressing the event, FM Sitharaman said, “The BJP manifesto speaks about ‘nyay’ as it has been made after taking suggestions from the public. We did not make the manifesto sitting in an AC room. People see Modi Ji delivering his promises”.

Puducherry BJP chief V Saminathan said that over 50,000 people have been asked for their views to prepare the manifesto. PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah may campaign soon for BJP candidates in Puducherry, as said by V Saminathan. Earlier, the manifesto was expected to be released on March 24.
On February 22, Congress led government under CM V Narayansamy fell just before completing its tenure of five years, after five Congress and one DMK legislators resigned.
Puducherry assembly polls for 30 seats will be done on April 6, in a single phase. The results for the same will be released on 2nd May, 2021.
