On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Sidhi, Madhya Pradesh, in order to intensify his party’s election campaign in the state. Here, PM Modi addressed a huge public meeting. During this, PM Modi sought votes for the candidates of eight assemblies. In his address, he appeared very angry at Congress and attacked the oldest party fiercely.

“Congress has a history of telling lies at every turn. Congress always lied to the poor, women, youth and also made false promises of loan waiver to farmers. Even today Congress is doing the same, they had said here in 2018 that they will waive off loans in 10 days, but they did nothing during their 15 months of rule. At the same time, whatever the BJP government says, we fulfill it with every blow,” said PM Modi.

PM Modi further said that people of Madhya Pradesh have a trust on the BJP by saying: “Today people here are saying – MP has Modi in his mind and Modi has MP in his mind. Before our tenure, Congress ran the government at the Center for 10 years. But in that, they only did the work of looting the poor and middle class. But your servant Modi has worked with full dedication in the government that he has run for almost 10 years. In these 10 years, scams have stopped, poor and middle class have saved, they have got more facilities.”

PM Modi also said that the central government has so far spent Rs 4 lakh crore on Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, so that poor families across the country will get their permanent houses.

PM Modi further attacked Congress over their weak organisational structure and decline in the Indian politics. He said: “For many decades, the flag of Congress was there in the country from Panchayat to Parliament, there were only Congress governments. But today their government survives only in a few states. Their downfall happened because their slogan was – Gareeb ka jeb saaf aur kaam half.”

Madhya Pradesh assembly elections are scheduled to take place on November 17 in a single phase, followed by the counting of votes and declaration of results.
