Another video of Devendra Tomar, son of Union Minister of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, Government of India, Narendra Singh Tomar (who is contesting from Dimani assembly seat in the upcoming Madhya Pradesh assembly elections), has gone viral.

Congress has fiercely attacked BJP regarding this viral video. Congress national spokesperson Ragini Nayak addressed a press conference in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh on Monday and alleged that black money worth Rs 500 crore is being discussed in the viral video of Union Minister’s son.

Attacking BJP and PM Narendra Modi, Ragini Nayak said: “PM Modi had said- Naa khaunga, naa khaane dunga, but bribery and commission taking are going on continuously in Modi government. Where in the last viral video, Narendra Singh Tomar’s son was talking about a transaction worth Rs 100 crore with mining businessmen. Now another video of Narendra Singh Tomar’s son has gone viral, in which he is talking about a transaction worth Rs 500 crore with a middleman.”

“This is the money of the people of Madhya Pradesh, the money of farmers and labourers, the money of the youth and women of the state,” said Ragini Nayak.

Congress’ National Spokesperson further made 5 demands over the alleged viral video of Union Minister’s son-

  1. The Election Commission should take suo motu cognizance of this video and take action.
  2. There should be a judicial inquiry into this matter by a retired judge of the Supreme Court.
  3. Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar should be dismissed from the post.
  4. A case of money laundering should be registered and ED, IT, CBI should take action.
  5. PM Modi and Shivraj Singh Chouhan should break their silence in this matter.

Demanding investigation and action by the central agencies, Ragini Nayak also questioned the working mechanism of these agencies under PM Modi’s regime. She said: “Of all the actions taken by ED since 2014, 95% of these actions have been against opposition leaders. In the last 5 years, many big raids took place on media houses and journalists who ask questions to the government. But dealings worth Rs 500 crore are taking place in Madhya Pradesh and ED, CBI and IT are missing.”

“To avoid suspicion of discrimination in the election process, the Election Commission itself should take cognizance of both the videos,” said Ragini Nayak.

Even Congress MP Rahul Gandhi attacked BJP over this issue. In a social media post on X (formerly Twitter), he wrote: “PM’s minister’s son is stealing in front of everyone on video call – did Modi ji take action? ED imposed? CBI imposed? IT department imposed? No, because Madhya Pradesh has a government of corruption and 50% commission!”

Well, the assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh are scheduled on November 17, followed by counting of votes and declaration of results on December 3.
