MP, Chhattisgarh Election LIVE UPDATES: Vote to end appeasement, corruption in Chhattisgarh, says Amit Shah

In Madhya Pradesh, Congress is trying to break the 18-year rule of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government led by CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

Today on November 17, voters on all seats of Madhya Pradesh are using their power to elect the Member of Legislative Assembly. While in Chhattisgarh, voting is undergoing for the second phase, after the first phase ended up on November 7.

In Madhya Pradesh, Congress is trying to break the 18-year rule of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government led by CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan. While in Chhattisgarh, the BJP is trying to get back in power, which they lost to Congress in 2018 after 15-year rule.

With this, the party’s focus have now got shifted to Rajasthan and Telangana, where elections are scheduled to take place later this month on November 25 and November 30 respectively.

Former minister and present Congress MLA from Rau seat Jitu Patwari cast his vote on friday along with family members at a polling booth in Indore.

“A government with a strong majority of Congress is being formed, a government of change is being formed. People want to remove the misrule of BJP in Madhya Pradesh and want to look at Congress with possibilities,” said Jitu Patwari after casting his vote, as quoted by ANI.

Voting in the Madhya Pradesh will begin at 7 am and will last till 6 pm. However, on some seats in Balaghat district, polling will take place only till 3 pm. These seats / booths include — Baihar, Lanji, Parwara. The same goes with some booths of Mandla and Dindori districts.
