After the swearing in of CM Mohan Yadav and two deputy CMs in Madhya Pradesh, all eyes were fixed on the cabinet. Finally, now 22 days after the election results and 12 days after the swearing in of the Chief Minister, Madhya Pradesh has got a new cabinet. The names of 28 ministers have been finalized in the cabinet. In which the names of 5 women are included. It is noteworthy that earlier there were only 3 women in Shivraj cabinet.

 

Let us tell you that all the MLAs have completed the oath taking process in the presence of Governor Mangu Bhai Patel. However, it is not yet clear who will be assigned which ministry. 18 Cabinet, 4 Ministers of State and 6 Ministers of State (Independent Charge) have been sworn in. Of the 5 women ministers who have taken oath in the Mohan Cabinet, two are Cabinet ministers, two are ministers of state and one is a minister of state with independent charge.

Cabinet Minister : 

Sampatia Uike

Sampatia Uike, who took oath as a cabinet minister, is the MLA from Mandla assembly seat. Sampatia Uike has also been an MP from Rajya Sabha. Her political career has passed amidst many struggles. She used to work as a laborer before politics, after which she contested the election of Sarpanch from Gram Panchayat Tikarwara, and won. Apart from this, Uike has also been a Rajya Sabha MP and District Panchayat President thrice.

 

Nirmala Bhuria 

Tribal leader Nirmala Bhuria has been awarded the post of cabinet minister in the Mohan Yadav government. This time she has become MLA for the 5th time from Petlawad seat. Before this, she was made Minister of State for Health in Shivraj government. The big political fact associated with Nirmala is that she had given victory to Kamal (Lotus : Election Symbol of BJP) for the first time in Jhabua-Alirajpur district. Her father late Dilip Singh Bhuria was a veteran Congress leader and apart from being an MP for 18 years, he held many important positions. Nirmala had won from Congress ticket for the first time in 1993. But veteran Dilip Singh Bhuria became disillusioned with Congress due to the demand of tribal chief minister against the then Digvijay Singh government. After this, father and daughter left Congress and joined BJP. She was an MLA from 1998 to 2003. She faced defeat in 2008, then won in 2013 and faced defeat in 2018. Now in 2023 she has won the seat with 5 thousand votes.

 

 

Minister of State (Independent Charge) :

Krishna Gaur 

Krishna Gaur, daughter-in-law of former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Babulal Gaur, has also got a place in Mohan Yadav’s cabinet. She has taken oath as Minister of State (Independent Charge). She has been elected MLA for the second consecutive time. She defeated Girish Sharma of Congress by 359 votes. Krishna Gaur is very active in her constituency. She created the relationship of daughter-in-law with the elders and also created the relationship of sister-in-law and sister with the young men and women. She got direct benefit from this. Before becoming Minister of State, she was the Mayor of Bhopal from 2009 to 2014. In 2005, she also took over the post of Chairperson of Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Corporation.

 

 

State Minister :  

Radha Singh 

Radha Singh, MLA from Chitrangi assembly seat, has also been made a minister. She has inherited politics. Her father-in-law Jagannath Singh has held a ministerial post in BJP, and has also been the Education Minister. After him Radha Singh came into politics. She has also been the former District Panchayat President. Jagannath Singh has a big name among the tribals. There are mostly tribal voters in Chitrangi assembly seat. Last time, Jagannath Singh’s brother Amar Singh was given ticket from this seat. But this time Radha Singh got it and she defeated Congress candidate Manik Singh by 59879 votes. Now she has taken oath as Minister of State

 

Pratima Singh Bagri 

MLA from Raigaon Assembly seat Pratima Bagri has taken oath as Minister of State. She is considered close to MP Ganesh Singh. Pratima Bagri, elected MLA for the first time, has been made Minister of State. Although BJP had contested the by-election from Raigaon Assembly seat in 2021, it had to face defeat. But this time he defeated the Congress candidate by 30 thousand votes, and directly got a place in Mohan Yadav’s cabinet.
