The opposition is furious over the suspension of more than 100 opposition MPs from the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. Now Samajwadi Party MP Jaya Bachchan has strongly attacked BJP over the suspension of MPs. She has called this decision a mockery of democracy.
This morning, while talking to ANI she said, “It is a mockery of democracy. If there is no opposition, then what is democracy? Democracy is when the Parliament has both sides, Yes and No. What is your way of deciding that certain people will be dismissed and certain will not be dismissed?”

Further speaking to media, Jaya Bachchan said — “There is Sansad TV, it shows the chairman and shows the BJP ministers. Even if the opposition dies, no matter what happens, it is not shown.”
On Tuesday, 49 more opposition members, including Farooq Abdullah, Shashi Tharoor, Manish Tewari and Supriya Sule, were suspended for the remaining period of the current winter session of Parliament for showing placards in the Lok Sabha and contempt of the House.
