BJP National President JP Nadda responds to the recent letter posted to PM Modi by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge against the BJP’s new mission ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’.

Kharge accused the BJP government of — “always getting engaged in publicity”, “politicising of Bureaucracy and Armed Forces” and “the Income Tax Department and the CBI already acting as election departments of the BJP” etc. mentioned in the letter released on social media platform X.

Now, BJP President Jagat Prakash Nadda has reacted to the allegations made by Congress President Kharge. Nadda wrote on X, “It baffles me to see the Congress Party have an issue with public servants reaching the grassroots to ensure saturation of schemes. If this not the basic tenet of governance, what is? Regarding opposition to a ‘Rath’ it is a fit use of public resources unlike using warships as personal yachts :)”

Before this, JP Nadda lashed out at India’s oldest political party by saying that “the Congress only has an interest in keeping the poor in poverty”. He said: “It maybe an alien concept to the Congress Party, but public service delivery is the duty of a Government. If the Modi Govt wants to ensure saturation of all schemes and ensure all beneficiaries are reached, nobody who has the interest of the poor in his mind can have a problem. But Congress only has an interest in keeping the poor in poverty and hence their opposition to the saturation drive.”

Earlier, on Sunday, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge had launched a fresh attack on the Modi government and has urged to stop the alleged politicisation of bureaucracy and armed forces. Kharge has alleged that the Modi government is using central agencies, institutions, army and other departments as their ‘official Pracharaks’.
