On Tuesday, Trinamool Congress MP and a newsmaker due to the alleged Cash For Query row, Mahua Moitra, shared on social media platform X about an Apple alert that she has received. The alert claims a possible state-sponsored hacking of her iPhone. Sharing a screenshot of the same, Mahua Moitra wrote on X, “Received text & email from Apple warning me Govt trying to hack into my phone & email. @HMOIndia – get a life. Adani & PMO bullies – your fear makes mpity you. @priyankac19 – you, I , & 3 other INDIAns have got it so far.”

Even Shiv Sena UBT MP Priyanka Chaturvedi shared a similar screenshot on X. “Their might can’t silence our voice. Will keep holding the government to account. With or without this unethical and illegal state sponsored attempts at hacking,” said Chaturvedi.

Joining the list, Pawan Khera (Chairman, Media & Publicity Deptt. All India Congress Committee) also shared the screenshot of the warning received by Apple on his X handle saying: “Dear Modi Sarkar, why are you doing this?”

Congress MP Shashi Tharoor got a similar alert over his phone which he shared on X by saying: “Received from an Apple ID, [email protected], which I have verified. Authenticity confirmed. Glad to keep underemployed officials busy at the expenses of taxpayers like me! Nothing more important to do?”

Over this matter, Mahua Moitra has shared her move: “Writing officially to @loksabhaspeaker @ombirlakota requesting he follow RajDharma to protect Opposition MPs & summon @HMOIndia officials ASAP on our phones/email being hacked. Priveleges Committee needs to take up. @AshwiniVaishnaw this is real breach you need to worry about.”
