On Saturday, March 27, Bharatiya Janata Party’s National President JP Nadda addressed a public rally in Thodupuzha of Kerala for up-coming legislative elections in the state.

While addressing the rally, BJP chief Nadda said, “Kerala’s 40 nurses in ISIS-controlled Iraq were brought back safely, 46 nurses from Libya were also brought back. When it comes to taking care of Kerala people, not only inside State but in any party of India or the world, it’s PM Modi who has given emotional support,” as quoted by ANI.

Nadda further added, “Our vote share has increased from 5% to 16% to 18%-19%, but seat share hasn’t. Time has come to say goodbye to communists, UDF, LDF, & Congress. They’ve been coming to power like musical chairs. Both (LDF &UDF) are ideologically bankrupt.”

JP Nadda also talked about the welfare of fisherman and said that Modi government has initiated Blue Revolution to improve the livelihoods of fishermen from Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu. ANI quoted Nadda’s statement, “A blue revolution has been initiated (by the Centre) to improve the livelihoods of our fishermen from Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu.”

PM Narendra Modi will also start campaigning in Kerala from April 2. Top BJP leaders including, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath are also expected to attend political rallies in Kerala in the upcoming days. Election for Kerala legislation is scheduled to be done in single phase on April 6, 2021. The Poll result will be announced on May 2, 2021.
