On Sunday, May 2, Communist Party of India (Marxist) leader Prakash Karat reacted to the LDF leading and crossing the magic number in early trends in Kerala.

Prakash Karat said “This is a significant victory as in past 40 yrs no govt re-elected for a 2nd successive term. This shows people of Kerala have appreciated performance of Pinarayi Vijayan govt, the way it tackled floods, COVID & pro-people development,” as quoted by ANI.

In Kerala, CPI(M) is leading by 55 seats in Kerala assembly elections. If CPI( M) comes into power, it is first time when any party comes into power for second consecutive term.
