The foundation wrote, the name of Khalistan terrorist Bhindranwale has been written to traumatize temple goers and create fear of violence. Hindu America Foundation has demanded to investigate the matter under hate crime. People associated with the temple have also complained to the police in this matter. However, this is not the first case when a temple has been targeted in this manner in America. Before America, such incidents have also been seen in Canada, UK and Australia.

In the last few months, there have been incidents of targeting of many Hindu temples abroad. Some time ago, Khalistani supporters had put up posters at the gate of the temple in Surrey, Canada. In this, there was talk of avenging the death of terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. Nijjar was shot dead in the car park of a Gurdwara in Surrey, city of Canada in June this year. Canadian PM Justin Trudeau, calling Nijjar a Canadian citizen, had alleged that Indian agents were involved in his murder. India had rejected these allegations. After the murder of Nijjar, Khalistani supporters also took out rallies at many places in Canada.
