In the midst of an internal rebellion within the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Sharad Pawar said that his nephew and current Deputy CM of Maharashtra Ajit Pawar should have approached me if he had something in his mind.
NCP Supremo Sharad Pawar while addressing his faction of supporters in Mumbai said that ‘We don’t have a hunger for power and we are determined to keep working for the people of Maharashtra’
He also said, “Ajit Pawar should have spoken to me if he had any problems. If he had something in his mind, he could have approached me,” The entire country is watching the historic meeting held by our faction of supporters, he added.
We have to keep marching despite the hurdles in our way, Sharad Pawar said while addressing his supporters. NCP Supremo Pawar said that NCP symbol is with us and not going anywhere while responding to Ajit Pawar and his faction of supporters approaching the Election Commission of India over the claims of party symbol and name.
The Sharad Pawar faction has also submitted a caveat before Election Commission and requested them to hear it before passing any directive with respect to NCP. While recalling the Shinde rebellion that led to split of Shiv Sena, Sharad Pawar said, ‘What happened with Uddhav Thackrey is being repeated. Targeting BJP he said, you called NCP corrupt, so why have you allied with NCP now?….
Sharad Pawar ended his long and emotional speech addressing supporters with a line, “After the darkest hour, comes dawn. Let’s start Once Again,,,,”
