Former karanataka cadre IPS officer K Annamalai has now joined the Bhartiya Jant Party at the party headquarters in Delhi. BJP national general secretary P Muralidhar Rao and Tamil Nadu BJP president were present for the ceremony.
While talking to The New India Express K Annamalai talked about his decision to join politic saying “there is a lot of misconception about BJP party in Tamil Nadu and there is a need to create awareness. I am a nationalist at heart and BJP is the only party that doesn’t have nepotism or sycophancy, if i may use the word. i will work for the party relentlessly.”
Known as the Singham of Karnataka, his sudden retirement in 2019 came as a shock to many. At the time of his resignation there were many rumors that he will join politics soon and that is become officially true now.
He is known for his upright and honest behavior and has been vocal about his admiration for PM Narendra Modi.
