Keral’s regional party Loktantrik Janata Dal (LJD) has merged with former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad Yadav’s party Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) in Kerala on Thursday (October 12). RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav’s son and Bihar’s Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav attended this merger program organised in Kerala. RJD MP Manoj Kumar Jha was also with him. Other RJD leaders like Abdul Bari Siddiqui was also there. During the merger programme, Lalu Prasad Yadav expressed his views through a video message. Lalu Prasad Yadav said that the country is going through a crisis under the BJP regime.

Lalu Prasad Yadav said, “There are continuous efforts being made to destroy communal harmony, federalism and regional diversity. I have been telling you this continuously. My heartiest congratulations to all the friends of Kerala on this historic day. Congratulations from our side. Together we will save the country and the Constitution. Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav will keep coming among you all. I will also come among you soon.”
What did Tejashwi Yadav say?
In a social media post on X, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav said, “Impressed by @laluprasadrjd ji’s amazing leadership abilities, political correctness, big heart, love for principles, fearlessness and ideological firmness and clarity towards socialism, secularism, inclusive development and social justice, yesterday in Kozhikode (Calicut), the socialist friends of #Kerala joined #RJD. Respecting our family, #LJD merged with #RJD. All of us, from North to South, will continue to fight together to save democracy and the Constitution and to spread and expand socialism and social justice.”

Let us tell you that Loktantrik Janata Dal (LJD) was a regional party of Kerala. The program was organised in Kozhikode. With the joining hands of both the parties, now RJD will have presence in Jharkhand and Kerala assemblies apart from Bihar. KP Mohanan alone was an MLA from LJD who has now become an MLA from RJD after the merger of the party. On this occasion, leader of Loktantrik Janata Dal party, former MP Shreyams Kumar, party leader in Kerala Assembly, former minister and MLA from Kuthuparamba assembly constituency KP Mohanan and all the district heads were present.
