Cash For Query Row: TMC MP Mahua Moitra files defamation case against BJP MP Nishikant Dubey

Mahua Moitra filed the complaint before the Delhi High Court against BJP leader Nishikant Dubey over defaming her Character, also she added name of advocate Jai Anant Dehadrai and several media organisations.

Trinamool Congress (TMC) Lok Sabha MP Mahua Moitra has filed a defamation case against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Dr. Nishikant Dubey in the alleged ‘cash for query’ case. The case has been filed in Delhi HC against the BJP MP, Advocate Jai Anant Dehadrai and several media organisations, as reported by Bar and Bench.

BJP MP Nishikant Dubey had alleged that TMC MP Mahua Moitra exchanged bribe from businessman Darshan Hiranandani in place of questions.

Advocate Jai Anant Dehadrai had also filed a complaint with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) claiming that Moitra gave complete access to her online Lok Sabha account to Hiranandani, who misused the same to post Parliamentary Questions of his liking. He also alleged that Moitra took bribes from Hiranandani.

Earlier, on Sunday, senior BJP leader and Member of Parliament from Jharkhand’s Godda constituency, Dr. Nishikant Dubey, wrote a letter to Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla over alleged re-imergence of “Cash for Query” in parliament. In his letter, the third time MP demanded to constitute an inquiry committee against Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra and her immediate suspension from the House, alleging that ‘bribes were exchanged between Mahua Moitra and businessman Darshan Hiranandani to ask questions in Parliament in exchange for cash and gifts’.
