BJP appoints new state unit presidents in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh today

G Kishan Reddy, a Union Minister and Lok Sabha member from Secunderabad, has been named the new head of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Telangana. His appointment takes effect immediately, the party stated on Tuesday afternoon.In Andhra Pradesh, the BJP turned over the reins to D Purandeswari, who took over as AP BJP president from Somu Veerraju. Kishan Reddy took over for Bandi Sanjay Kumar, who had led the party in the state for nearly four years. After meeting with party national president JP Nadda and other top leaders in Delhi, Sanjay was urged to resign, and he did so.

Etala Rajendar, the party’s Huzururabad MLA, was appointed by the BJP to lead the campaign committee for the state party unit, which was another significant step. Additionally, the party announced that it was including former chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy in the BJP’s national executive for the state of Andhra Pradesh.
