RJD leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Prasad Yadav is trailing in his traditional stronghold Raghopur (Constituency 128). As per the latest update at 11:24 am, Tejashwi is behind by 3,016 votes, marking a significant shift in one of Bihar’s most high-profile battles.
BJP candidate Satish Kumar has taken a decisive lead with 17,599 votes, maintaining a comfortable margin as the counting progresses. Tejashwi Yadav, contesting on a Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) ticket, has so far secured 14,583 votes, placing him in a challenging position in a seat historically associated with his family.
Other candidates in the fray, including Chanchal Kumar of Jan Suraaj Party and Raju Kumar of the Aam Aadmi Party, are trailing by much wider margins. Independent candidate Baliram Singh and several others remain far behind, indicating a largely bipolar contest between the BJP and RJD.
The Raghopur constituency remains one of the most closely watched seats of the 2025 Bihar Assembly polls, and Tejashwi’s current position marks one of the most surprising trends of the day. Counting is still underway, and the margin may change as more rounds are completed.
