As a month of canvassing and incessant efforts finally culminate in the counting of Bihar Assembly Elections 2020, a quick peek in the leading powers in different regions.
NDA has gained a lead of total 24 seats – BJP with 15, JD(U) has gained 8, while Vikassheel Insaan Party is set with 1. Mahagatbandhan is pacing forward steadily with 18 seats – RJD has occupied the top tier with 9, Congress is placed with 5, and the Left has emerged victorious in 4. BSP is gaining speed with a lead on one seat.
The exit polls had earlier lowered hopes for Chief Minister Nitish Kumar-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Bihar. Most of the surveys had shown an emerging voter-base and huge chances at victory for Tejashwi Yadav-led Mahagathbandhan. Some have even predicted a thumping majority for the Mahagathbandhan. Bihar is a tricky state to understand for pollsters. This is why their predictions have gone wrong in past. With this lead, NDA is looking at some positive light at the end of the tunnel.
