On Friday, the first time BJP MLA Bhajan Lal Sharma took oath as the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, after he was announced as the leader of BJP Legislature Party on Tuesday. The oath ceremony was presided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Albert Hall, Jaipur.

Along with Sharma, two Deputy Chief Ministers also took the oath — Diya Kumari and Prem Chand Bairwa.

“Many congratulations to Bhajan Lal Sharma ji as well as Deputy Chief Ministers Diya Kumari ji and Premchand Bairwa ji who took oath as the Chief Minister of Rajasthan. I am confident that this state of brave women will set new standards of good governance, prosperity and development under your leadership. The BJP government will work hard to live up to the trust and hope with which my family members have blessed us,” said PM Modi in a social media post on X (formerly Twitter).

Former Rajasthan Chief Minister and BJP’s National Vice-President Vasundhara Raje also congratualted the new CM and two Deputy CMs on social media platform X. She wrote: “Hearty congratulations to Mr. @BhajanlalBjp a hardworking member of the BJP family, on taking oath as the Chief Minister of Rajasthan and hearty congratulations to @mladrpremchand and Ms. @KumariDiya on taking the oath as Deputy Chief Minister.”

“Rajasthan is our family and the progress and prosperity of this family has been our goal. I am confident that under the able guidance of Honorable Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji, the new government of Rajasthan will move rapidly on the path of progress and take the state to new heights of development. #Rajasthan #BJP4Rajasthan,” added Raje.

The outgoing Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot also congratulated CM Bhajan Lal Sharma and said that he hopes the new government will strengthen the schemes launched during the tenure of Congress.

“Hearty congratulations to the newly elected Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Shri Bhajanlal Sharma and the cabinet and best wishes for their tenure. We hope that the newly formed Rajasthan government will strengthen our Chiranjeevi, Annapurna, Udaan, OPS and other social security schemes,” said Gehlot.

Furthermore, the former Deputy CM of Rajasthan and senior Congress leader Sachin Pilot also congratulated the oath taking leaders by saying that — “I hope that you will remain dedicated to public service, public welfare and development of the state.”

Let us tell you that in the recently held assembly elections in Rajasthan, BJP secured a landslide victory by winning full majority, throwing out the Ashok Gehglot-led Congress government.
