West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC leader Mamata Banerjee on Saturday adopted a rather offensive stance against the Bharatiya Janta Party and PM Narendra Modi.
The TMC supremo criticized Indian PM’s visit to the neighboring nation amid the West Bengal assembly elections and asserted that it is a violation of the Model Code of Conduct.
Sitting in a wheel chair, recovering from her leg injury, CM Mamta Banerjee addressed a rally in Kharagpur on Saturday, and said, “Elections are underway here and he goes to Bangladesh and lectures on Bengal. It is a total violation of code of conduct of the election,” reported news agency ANI.

PM Narendra Modi in his Bangladesh tour visited Orakandi and addressed the Matua community of the neighboring country at a time when West Bengal is polling for the first phase of its eight-phase election.
Matuas in West Bengal, are those who have come to India after partition, and make up for a large vote bank in 24 Parganas (North and South) and Nadia.
Mamata Banerjee in her recent address at Kharagpur, denounced PM Modi’s visit and asserted that he went “to Bangladesh for vote marketing,” reported ANI.

Earlier on Friday, Banerjee mocked the PM over his beard and said that its growth is inversely proportional to the state of the economy, and reports also suggest that she called the BJP the “biggest fraud party”.
