On Tuesday, March 23, BJP released their election manifesto for the upcoming Assam legislative assembly elections in Assam. While releasing the manifesto, BJP chief JP Nadda along with Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal and state Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma were present.

JP Nadda is currently on a two-day visit to Assam. While releasing the manifesto, Nadda said “We have gained momentum of development. We are standing for a big leap. With these aspirations, we have put our words in 10 commitments to the people of Assam”.
He further added, “We will build big reservoirs around Bramhaputra to conserve extra water under Bramhaputra vision to save the people from floods. 30 lakh deserving families will be paid financial support of Rs 3,000 per month under Orunodoi Scheme”, as quoted by ANI.
Party Manifesto also promises to provide 2 lakhs jobs every year. Nadda further added, “We will work on a corrected NRC for Assam’s protection. We will protect genuine Indian citizens and detect infiltrators and also to protect Assam’s political rights, we will speed up delimitation process”.

Elections for 126 legislative assembly are scheduled to take place in three phases on 27th March,1st April and 6th April. The result for same will be announced on 2nd May 2021.
