Arvind Kejriwal voiced his ‘free electricity’ promise for yet another state. The Delhi Chief Minister on Sunday disclosed free electricity up to 300 units in Uttarakhand if Aam Aadmi Party is voted to power.
Earlier, in the past months, Arvind Kejriwal put forward a similar announcement in Punjab. He promised 300 units of free electricity per month for every household in Punjab if the party wins the polls.
Coupled with free electricity, Aam Admi Party chief assured to waive off pending electricity bills. Moreover, he asserted that there will be no power cuts in Uttarakhand if the party is voted to power in the hill state. Further, he proclaimed free electricity for the farmers. “It will take some time to provide 24 hours electricity, but we will do it” added the party’s chief.
In a press conference in the hill state, Arvind Kejriwal claimed that the task which has not been done in Uttarakhand for 70 years has been completed in Delhi. In addition, he expressed that Uttarakhand has decided to bring AAP to the state.
He further laid down promises of building good schools along with working on electricity, water, and farming among others.
Arvind Kejriwal as quoted by ‘India Today’ stated, “The ruling party does not have a CM. They themselves say ‘Our CM is bad’, there is a fight for CM within the BJP.” He also enquired, “Who will think about the development of Uttarakhand residents?”
Delhi’s Chief Minister claimed that the leaders of the hill state have ‘left no stones unturned to destroy the state.
The Aam Admi Party is looking forward to contesting 20-22 seats in the upcoming Assembly Election in Uttarakhand.
