Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has once again made serious allegations against the business tycoon Gautam Adani. The former Congress president has alleged that Adani has committed a scam of Rs 32 thousand crore. He also said that it is because of Adani that electricity becomes expensive.
The Congress leader said, “Adani purchases coal in Indonesia, and by the time the coal arrives in India, its price doubles. As a result, our electricity prices are increasing, and Adani is profiting (Rs. 12000 crore) from the poor people.”
By showing a report from Financial Times, Rahul Gandhi said: “The Financial Times has a significant story. This story could bring down any government. It is a direct theft by a man who is protected repeatedly by the Prime Minister of India. Why is not a single newspaper/media house in India interested in picking up this story?”
“This cannot happen without the protection of the Prime Minister of India. Why is no action taken against this gentleman (Adani)? Why doesn’t the PM comment on this?,” Rahul Gandhi further added.

Rahul Gandhi also claimed that if his party comes to power in 2024, then the Congress party will probe the alleged scam of Rs 32 thousand crore. Gandhi said: “This case is about Rs 32 thousand crore stolen from the people of India. Whoever steals Rs 32 thousand crore will be investigated. We will get it investigated once our government is formed.”
On question regarding Sharad Pawar’s closeness to Adani, Rahul Gandhi said, “Sharad Pawar is not the PM of the country, he is not protecting Adani. That is why I do not ask questions to Sharad Pawar about Adani.”
