AAP’s Bhagwant Mann to take oath as CM of Punjab on March 16

The oath-taking ceremony will take place in Khatkar Kalan, the village of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh.

As Aam Aadmi Party made a historical win in the Punjab elections, Bhagwant Mann is set to take oath as chief minister of Punjab. The oath ceremony will take place on March 16, as reported by ANI.

Bhagwant Mann today met Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal at his residence & invited him for the oath ceremony. Kejriwal congratulated him on his epic victory.

Bhagwant has won from Dhuri in Sangrur district by a margin of 58,206 votes. The oath-taking ceremony will take place in Khatkar Kalan, the village of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh. “I will take CM’s oath from Khatkar Kalan, the birthplace of Shaheed Bhagat Singh,” announced Bhagwant Mann on Thursday.

AAP has won a total of 92 seats in the Punjab assembly polls. While the ruling party Congress managed to secure 18 seats. BJP ended with 2 seats. Various senior politicians like former CM Amarinder Singh, Charanjit Singh Channi, SAD Chief Sukhbir Singh Badal were defeated by AAP candidates.
