Lucknow, Feb 23 (UNI) A total of 37.45 per cent of 2.13 crore votes had exercised their franchise until 1 pm for 59 seats spread over nine districts in the fourth phase of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. According to the Chief Electoral Officer, the maximum 41.23 per cent turnout was in Pilibhit while Hardoi saw 34.29 per cent. Among other districts, 40.90 per cent polling took place in Lakhimpur Kheri, 36.98 per cent in Sitapur, 35.01 per cent in Unnao, 35 per cent in Lucknow, 40.17 per cent in Rae Bareli, 37.66 per cent in Banda and 40.35 per cent in Fatehpur. Protesting against stray animals, people boycotted the polling in Dashrath Purwa village in Naraini constituency.
