The Kosi Rail Mahasetu has finally been completed, to the delight of the people of Northern Bihar. The bridge’s foundation was laid down by former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee on June 6, 2003. The construction of the bridge has been completed and it will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi on the 18th of September.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the PM will dedicate the bridge to the nation in a video-conference and will also announce 12 other rail projects for the benefit of the state of Bihar.
The bridge cost Rs 561.02 crore and is located in the Nirmali–Saraigarh section of the ECR’s Samastipur division.
