According to officials, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a high-level meeting Thursday afternoon to examine the situation in the country about COVID-19.
The meeting comes just one day after Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya examined the situation and advised people to practise Covid-appropriate behaviour, such as wearing masks in crowded settings and getting vaccinated.
According to officials, airports will conduct random sample testing for foreign travellers arriving from China and other nations. There has been an increase in Covid cases in China and other nations.
